How much memory do I need to film a timelapse?
I want to film a timelapse up to thirty hours. I'm wondering how much memory/storage space I'll need on my phone?
On average, how much would one hour or so take up? Thanks 🙂

The problem you are going to get is that the built-in time lapse on the iPhone decreases the frame rate the longer you record. Regardless of how long you record the resulting playback lasts between 10-40 seconds. If you shoot for less than 10 minutes the capture rate is 2 frames per second, 10 to 20 minutes is 1 frame per second, 20 to 40 minutes is 1 frame every 2 seconds, 40 minutes to 80 minutes is 1 frame every 4 seconds, and 80 minutes to 160 minutes is 1 frame every 8 seconds. I believe it would just go up from there. From what I understand the ending video doesn't take more space than if you were to record a regular video of less than 1 minute. There are several time lapse apps in the App Store that may give you different results.
