Google no longer recognizes my names iPhone

I have an iPhone 6 and today when I viewed the sign on log with my Google account it now sees my phone as just a generic iPhone and not my named iPhone. When I look in Settings -> General -> About the name of my phone is the same as it has been for years. Does a new iOS update cause this? What is going on? I just changed my Google password but the situation is the same
