I need to ping from my iPhone to find where someone else is that has an iPhone
You can send a sound to any device that is signed into your Apple/iCloud ID and has Find My iPhone turned on. If you cannot see the device when you sign into iCloud.com and click on your Find My iPhone app, then you cannot send a sound to the device.
