Is it bad to use 2 screen protectors on the iPhone 7?

I recently bought a new iPhone 7 and with it came a plastic screen protector, which was applied upon purchase. Now I would like to get a case for the phone, the Otterbox Defender, which comes with a screen protector. My question is, is it bad to use 2 screen protectors on the phone, or will I be fine using the case's screen protector along with the one that was put on when I bought the phone, or do I need to take off the existing one before putting on my new case?

i.e., (as per sberman) take them all off. You don't need them. And it seems like a reasonable assumption that the more layers you put between your touchscreen and your finger, the less likely your device is going to be as responsive as you would like (or not responsive at all).

I'm with sberman on this. Screen protectors do nothing to enhance your device, and may interfere with normal operation. Take the old one off, and don't put another one on at all.

I use a Zagg glass protector, it has not interfered with the operation of the screen and for the first time in 3 phones I actually had to use my warranty as something cracked the glass protector. But the screen was not cracked. I pass down my old phones to a mother with four little boys, those have had the protectors replaced (more than once in one case) but each time the iPhone glass did not break.

I wonder when the OP takes about the screen that came with it at purchase was the plastic one for protection while new in the box. That one should be removed.
