"Payment & Shipping" Change not possible

I have recently changed my debit card and received an email from Apple requesting I update my payment details so that my iCloud add-on payment can be processed.


Email advises to:

  1. Go to Settings and tap iCloud
  2. Tap your name
  3. Tap payment and follow the prompts


When I tap any of the three sections below on my iphone, there is a brief 'flash' wheel spin and then nothing.The menu does not load and it remains on the existing screen, so I cannot access any of these options?

  1. Name, Phone Numbers, Email
  2. Password & Security
  3. Payment & Shipping


Any reasons as to why I cannot access these menus please? Running most recent iOS

Hi, AndyTheAnimal.
After reviewing your post, it appears you're unable to change the payment information you're using for iCloud and iTunes & App Store from the Settings application on your iPhone. The three main areas don't respond when you tap them. I'm happy to help.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Restart your iPhone. Once it's returned to the Home screen, test the issue.

Change or remove your Apple ID payment information -- If restarting your iPhone didn't help, in order to process the payment add-on, use iTunes on a Mac or PC. You can also use a browser on your computer to change it from the Apple ID account page.


After all is said and done, if you weren't able to use your phone to edit your payment information, I'll troubleshoot that with you next. Just let me know.
