How do I block certain songs from playing on shuffle without delteing them?

For example - I don't want to hear my holiday songs in April. Is there an easy way to block certain songs from playing when I have it on shuffle? I don't want to delete them from my library b/c i paid for them and will want to hear them next christmas. Help!

and here's another question...both my husband and I have ipods but we have very different tastes in music. is there a way I can block his music from playing on my ipod and vice versa.

For the first question, uncheck the songs that you don't want to hear. Then as it plays through, it should skipped the unchecked songs. The only way for the second one that i know of would be either to create playlists or not add that music to your ipod. To not add it to your ipod set your ipods to manually update music then you can each click and drag the songs you want onto your iPod.

You select the songs u dont want to play then right click on one of them, then select yes(down bottom, second from the right) u want to skip when shuffling(for multible songs) fo one song right click on it get info options and select skip when shuffling.

Or if you want just ur songs create a playlist of all the songs you like on your ipod than in the ipod options you go to music than sync selected playlists and secelt yours. than only yours will be on yours and u can do the same on the other ipod
