Best monitor for Macbook Air 13" Mid 2011?

Does anyone have advice/opinions on what the best monitor to purchase would be? I have a 13" Macbook Air from mid 2011 but I need to get a monitor to hook it up to for viewing some documents for work. Advice? I'm definitely not extremely tech-savvy!

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
