It means that you are using the Telus network. See the following from http://support.sasktel.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/15517/~/understanding-wireles s-network-indicators

Roaming/carrier indicators

SaskTel

When using data on a phone in Saskatchewan, you'll normally see SaskTel.

SaskTel B, SaskTel T, and SaskTel R

If there's a B, T, or R behind SaskTel, it means you're using the:

  • Bell network (SaskTel B)
  • Telus network (SaskTel T)
  • Rogers network (SaskTel R)

When using these networks, you'll be charged Canadian data roaming fees according to your Wireless rate plan.

Other carriers

When you're roaming anywhere outside of the SaskTel network, you'll see the name of the carrier for the network you're using. For example, "AT&T." For information about roaming rates, see Travel support hub.
