Fix for auto iCloud backup for phone using wireless charging

I have a chargeforce case from mophie and the auto backup does not trigger.... its connected to wifi and to a "power source" since its charging etc .... is there a fix? Or will it come when the iOS is updated for the iPhone 8 that will supposedly have wireless charging? I know you can do I manually, but I like the auto feature since I don't generally remember to do it myself ....
