File compression is a way of packing up a number of files and folders into a single file to make it easier to store and download.

A windows installer file, like the iTunes64Setup.exe file, may consist of a self-extracting file with a number of components.

7-Zip is a free utility that can unpack compressed files to show the individual components.

Once you have installed 7-Zip you can then locate the iTunes setup file and use the right-click option to Extract to "<folder>".

That would give you a folder with the extracted files.

You can then double-click each of these .msi files in turn to install that package. Ignore SetupAdmin.exe, you are manually doing its job. Some users have found that installing iTunes this way works when the standard installer fails for some reason. If not then any error messages issued by an individual .msi file might give some insight into why iTunes won't install properly for you.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Right-click on the setup file and run the installer as administrator. In some cases you may also need to disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus software while installing.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, or want to revert to an older version if the current one won't work properly for you at the moment.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

This is the exact translation (from our language) of the message I receive:

There were errors during installation before the iTunes could be configured.

There were errors during installation. No changes were made to the system.

Click "Finish" to finish the setup program.

Have you seen our previous correspondence (that i sent the link)? If you saw then all I need to solve this problem is to get to the left window in the attached picture. I know for sure that the "iTtunes64setup" is downlowded to the computer every time I try to upload the iTunes(I see on the download screen all the times I tried downloading to iTunes). I would be very happy if you explained to me step by step how to get to this screen(the left one) and from there I will use the instructions you gave me about 4 months ago.

Thank you very much

The first line of text and the screenshots followed were taken from the dialogue we had four months ago.

Using File Explorer find the iTunes64Setup.exe file that you previously downloaded to install iTunes. It will usually be in your user's Downloads folder although you may have decided to save it elsewhere. Right-click on the file and then use the option in the 7-Zip submenu to Extract to "iTunes64Setup\".

First, I apologize for asking a lot of questions, because I do not really understand these issues.

From the last answer you answered me I understand that the first thing I have to do is upload 7-zip utility, but it is not clear to me in what sequence Should be the rest of the installations and I would be very happy if you could write to me the right sequence (1 ..., 2 ..., 3 .... and so on).

THANK YOU

Yes, the six .msi files, in turn. So start by double-clicking AppleApplicationSupport.msi, follow any prompts until it has been installed, then repeat with AppleApplicationSupport64.msi and so on. If a component fails to install please post back the exact text of any error message. No point installing other components once one has failed. Need to deal with the problem first.

4 months ago, as you see helped me upload the iTunes. Unfortunately, there was a problem with this computer and the company that sold it to me replaced the disc and when I tried to upload the iTunes again I encountered the same problem 4 months ago.I try to repeat what you offered me last time but I can not find how to get to the image you posted above.

I would be happy if you would help me how to get to this window.

Thanks in advance
