hi, I recently received an email requesting money saying they videoed me watching a video on safari? So they said they have the 2 videos, one of me and one of the video I was watching Side by side and they were going to send it to everyone in my contact list unless I forward them money. The thing that scared me is that they send it to my correct email. Can this actually happen? Was I hacked?

This sounds like a scam, in order to steal money from you. An iPhone cannot be hacked, unless it is jailbroken. If your iPhone isn't jailbroken, you have nothing to worry about. I will also suggest always keeping your Apple devices up-to-date with the latest software versions.

Thanks for your response!! I was thinking it was a scam, but the fact that they knew got my email from a website that I was viewing scared me. I don't know a lot about tech stuff so your response is very helpful.
It probably came from that very website... maybe you should avoid questionable web sites going forward...
There is one other scenario. If you gave the site permission to access your cameras before being approved to watch their videos they could have recorded you. But the light on your FaceTime Camera would have turned on.
