Wacom Compatibility

I just got the MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) 10.12.6 (which doesn't have the USB ports (only USB-C). I had gotten a USB to USB-C in order to connect my Wacom Intuos (not the pro). The small light to the drawing tablet in the top center turned on to indicate that it was optional, but didn't work when it came to using it on my computer (unlike my older MacBook with the USB port already supplied). So is it not compatible even with the adapter? And if so, which drawing tablets do?

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Hi, vikmark!

Thanks for reaching out via the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I see that you are having trouble getting your Wacom Intuos tablet to work with your new MacBook Pro. I'm happy to help make sure you get the support you need!

Looking at Wacom's website, I was able to find that they just released brand new drivers for their tablets on August 31, 2017. I would recommend making sure you have the updated drivers installed on your Mac, then try again: Drivers | Wacom .

If you continue to have trouble with your Wacom Intuos tablet after updating the drivers, please reach out to Wacom directly for further assistance. They'll be the experts on their tablet, its Mac compatibility, and any troubleshooting that may be required: Contact support | Wacom .

Cheers!
