The Latest MacBook 12 inch is offered in 8 and 16 GB versions, can you upgrade the 8GB after purchasing it?

No, you can only specify it at the point of purchase, it's soldered in place.
You'd get better 16GB version if you are considering upgrade RAM now.
It would have been nice if they would state that on the product site.
I just bought a 8 GB RAM 2017 MacBook 12 inch with the thought in mind that I would upgrade it to 16GB at a later point.
Awesome, now I'm stuck with 8GB RAM until the cpu goes belly-up.
Can't say I'm thrilled about that. Why do they leave their customers in the dark about something important like this?
