Why do you need me (or anyone else) to tell you that iTunes is still available, haven't you seen that for yourself?

The screenshot above was snapped this morning. Notice the download button in the top right corner.

As for "Apple Music Store", perhaps you need to refer to it as the iTunes Store, which might go some way to avoiding confusion with "Apple Music". Yes, you can still buy songs (music) from the store. You can also buy music from Amazon, as well as other online stores selling music.

Apple Music tracks can’t be put on an iPod nano.

Then what good is it?

The nano or Apple Music?

Technology moves on and that sometimes means that older products cannot make use of the new ideas:

  • The nano was originally designed before anyone thought of creating Apple Music, and since the nano has no internet connection (where the Apple Music is stored), it cannot make use of the feature/service.
  • Apple Music is useful (I guess) to those people who want access to more music than they can fit on their device. It's of little use to those of us who already have a large music collection, for example from our CDs.

Please tell me then there is an Apple Music Store and there is still iTunes.

I did join Apple Music thinking I could download into the iPod(s), apparently not. But now I'm under the impression that I can no longer purchase music from (the Apple Music Store?) and download the songs into my iPod(s). Hopefully I'm wrong and iTunes is still it's own application. I am better off to keep my old iPod(s) because of how I use them and don't wish to purchase a newer one since I figure it's a matter of time before they won't support that one either.

Yes, I found "iTunes".

No, I don't see your "download button in the top right", but I found it OK in the menu.

I have the option to preview music and buy (or add to wish list, etc) but not to add to library (thinking Apple Music).

I suppose the next thing to try is to see if I can still add any songs to my old iPod...

I understand that they won't be the Apple Music songs, but songs I've purchased should be available to me.

Try not to get snippy.

I haven't used iTunes since 2015 and a lot has changed.

I'm far from computer illiterate, but I'm just getting to the point where I want it to be #1: simple, #2: just work.

Now I'm going to spend too much time trying to figure out the difference between iTunes and the Music service. I logged in, so I'm surprised this is an issue.

This is why Apple (and other tech-companies) should stop letting 20 year olds run their software, they over-complicate it!
