how should you clean your headphone jack

My phone think it's being plugged into headphones and I cannot year anything coming from my phone, tried blow drying the headphone jack, tried tissue in the head phone jack, and Justin lighly blowing in it. Didn't work. I read somewhere it might just be dirty so any suggestions?
