How do I Get My Money Back?

So I downloaded an app called Palmistry, it was developed by Devroq Apps. I downloaded it when I saw it on instagram and I was like hey cool, I'm bored let me see what this is about. So I follow the link from instagram to the App Store and download it. The app itself is free but once you get in, they make you subscribe to a 7-day free trial which can be cancelled through app settings just to get a horoscope. So I agreed just because whatever, it's free. So once I got my horoscope, I went back to do my palm reading, they make you take pictures of your palms, then after the pictures are deemed accurate and you try to proceed to get your palm reading, it prompts you to then pay $9.99 for your reading (after subscribing to a 7-day free trial). They say nothing about having to pay for any kind of readings. So, instead of paying for the palm raading, I decided that this app was bogus and when I went to go try to cancel the subscription and delete the app, there was no 'app settings' button to cancel my subscription. I don't want to get charged so I email the developers, to see if they can cancel the subscription and I haven't heard anything from them. Is there anyway that I can get Apple to look into this issue? Because apparently I'm not the only victim of this scam.

You cannot reach Apple directly via the community forums as they are manned by volunteers, users, people much like yourself. But we can give you some help.


For purchases from the app store or itunes you should have an electronic receipt, on the bottom of which is an invitation to ‘Report a problem’. Report what you’ve described here as your problem.


If you no longer have the receipt or did not receive one, you could use this facility … https://support.apple.com/HT204084


You should also find some time to read this document about subscriptions and how to cancel them. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039.
