Best older MacBook Pro for music production

hi all.my budget is £500 and I want a MacBook Pro.i have an iPad air 2 at the moment but I'm finding that when I use big plugins it starts to glitch,crackle and eventually crashes.

i want to be able to record 20+ tracks with no glitching And use industry standard software like ableton or Logic Pro etc.i don't want to pay £500 only to find i will have the same problems on a MacBook Pro.any advice please would be helpful

Hi,


You want the newest quad core 15" or 17" you can get, with 16GBs of RAM, unless you can spend more money in the near future to upgrade the RAM. The 13" has a dual core processor so not good. You should be able to get a Mid 2012 15" MBP for about that much money.
