Can I use Apple Pencil to select cells in Excel?

When I am using Microsoft Excel, if I touch the screen with my Apple Pencil, it draws on the screen. This can be useful in some situations, but I would like to be able to turn that functionality off and have it able to select a cell, drag the screen, etc (essentially acting as a more precise and longer finger). Is there a setting where I can toggle what effect the Pencil has?

Thanks, that doesn't work. If I turn off bluetooth (or just unpair the pencil) the iPad acts like it's not even touching it.

That's not exactly what I wanted anyway, I'd like to be able to toggle between stylus and pencil. Excel allows me to do that for my finger (it has an option to use a finger-touch to manipulate the screen versus to write on the spreadsheet, and I can toggle that option with a button in the app.). But I can't find anything similar for the pencil.

Anyway, thanks for the idea, I appreciate it.
