Authorization to buy app from other country

When trying to buy an app from an ITunes store in another country I am unable to buy as my Apple Id is restricted to the Netherlands.

Hi Goodm001,

You may only make purchases in the App Store of the country/region that your Apple ID is currently in. If you have payment methods (e.g. credit cards) and an address in your target country, you can switch the country/region of the App Store of your Apple ID by filling them in. (Now switching the country/region of the App Store requires a payment method). You need to make sure that you have no balance in your Apple ID (If you have, you may contact Apple Support to remove the balance, but there won't be any refund. The online chat told me the removed balance will be for charity :-) ), and the billing address of your credit cards is in that country.

Creating a new account does not require a payment method. Firstly log out your account on the App Store and change the country/region of the App Store to your target country. Then try to download an App (A free app is the most convenient), and then you'll be asked to log an existing Apple ID in, you can also create a new one immediately. Then create a new Apple ID whose region is your target country. While setting the payment methods, select none. After finishing creating the Apple ID, you can make purchases. If you want to purchase paid apps, you may either use a credit card or buy iTunes gift cards and redeem the codes. The gift cards are always convenient when you do not have a payment method in a specific country (If you want to purchase in Netherland App Store, you need to buy the Dutch gift cards). For example, I'm not an adult and I do not have a credit card yet, I always purchase gift cards in the supermarkets and redeem the codes.

Hope my answer may help you!

Hello King_Penguin,

Yes, you're right. Thank you for reminding. I live globally – For the most of the time, I stay in my homeland and sometimes I travel around countries. Soon I'll study abroad in another country. It's hard for me to change the country/region every time.

Also, in my high school (which is an international one), many teachers come from Canada. I noticed that they're using the Canadian App Store instead of the Chinese one during their work period. Also, they do not have credit cards billed in China, even if they want to change the country of the App Store to the place they're working in, they are not able to.
