How do I import .numbers into wordpress

WordPress no longer accepts .xlsx files created with Numbers version 4.2 (4582). With previous versions of Numbers the EXCEL upload worked fine. Does anyone know what the source of the problem or of a workaround?

Thanks for any help

WordPress is a blogging platform with many, many different possible configurations and site designs. Excel is a spreadsheet app with many, many variations of its own. It's good that you have achieved success in doing what you were doing before, but that fact gives us very little insight into to what you were actually doing, among the countless possible variations.

From your second post it appears you are posting a roster of some kind, so there is a little more to go on, though we are still left guessing as to what you want that roster to look like on your site.

In any case if you are simply trying to post a simple table into your site have you tried just copy-pasting the data in from Numbers?

If you give more details it would also be possible to give you a short script that converts the Numbers table to an html table that a browser can display when it visits your WordPress site.

WordPress has many dozens (actually probably hundreds) of themes, and plug-ins galore. They vary widely.

I don't believe you can put an "Excel file in the website" unless by that you mean you are making an Excel file available for others to download from the website. Is that what you are trying to do? If so, WordPress (either the latest version or earlier versions) can accept files. The website won't really care whether the file is Numbers or Excel or something else. It's just a file.

You can also display Excel data on a website in the form of a table?

What exactly are you trying to do on your website?

Thanks for your response and sorry, I thought it was clear. I am a Mac only user. I am trying to post an EXCEL file containing the roster of our fishing club to our website. In the past I was easily able to upload EXCEL files generated by NUMBERS. Since updating to NUMBERS 3.6.2 (2577) WordPress no longer allows me to upload NUMBERS-generated EXCEL files. There is no problem uploading NUMBERS-generated PDF files. WordPress accepts my EXCEL file if it has been opened and re-saved (with a different name) by a colleague using EXCEL on a windows PC. This workaround works but is a nuisance.

Thanks for your reply. I went back and used Numbers09 to prepare an excel file for uploading into WordPress and that procedure also stopped working. Therefore, I tentatively conclude that the problem lies in WordPress. We are not using its most up-to-date version. We need the excel file in the website to facilitate other operations of our webpage.

I shall continue with the awkward workaround previously described that does work.

Many thanks for your efforts but let's stop wasting your time and mine.
