When will your activation servers be fixed?

I clicked on "reset all data and settings" and when the device restarted it gave error message.

"We're sorry unable to complete your activation request at this time.

please press the home button and try again. if the trouble persists contact customer care"


ipod touch 4th generation (no sim card to remove)

I have this happen after fully restoring from DFU mode too.

Apple downloads and verifies the restore, when finished it restarts the device

and 3rd screen of setup menu enter wi-fi network.. click "next" blue button and this message appears


5 different Ipod touch 4th generation
and several other consumers are copying and pasting this message for past couple of days now.

please repair this glitch on the activation server

These are user to user Apple technical support communities, only moderated by Apple support community staff.

We are all users in these communities. Just like you!

There is no one here from Apple to address your concerns.


There seems to be rash of these Activation Required errors and seem to be affecting mostly iPad 2 models.

I have an iPad 2, but currently, it is unaffected by this issue.

I can see it is, also, affecting some other older iDevices, as well.

So, clearly, this bug/glitch/error/issue hasn't affected every single older iPad/iPhone/ iPod Touch still in existence and still running.
