iPhone 7+ charging in wall but not computer

My iPhone 7+ charges in the wall perfectly, but when using the same cord in my MacBook Air it doesn't. When plugged into my computer (again, with the same cord that works just fine in my wall) my phone charges, then uncharges, then charges, then uncharges, and so on. It just continuously shifts between being charged and not. I looked into it and attempted restarting my PRAM/NVRAM. Same problem continues.

Hi

Follow the steps here, including checking the ports on both devices for any lint or other debris:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

Ensure that you are using either a genuine Apple cable or an Apple-certified / MFi cable. If you are already doing so, try instead using another such cable.

Be sure to use a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port whilst the computer is turned on (not in sleep mode).

If necessary, contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assistance:
