Hi. If you have Apple TV 2 or 3, and you're using 2-factor authentication, please try the method in this link: Re: appleTV keeps asking for appleID, password and authentication code circularly. The trick is to request the code on the phone, instead of waiting for it to be sent. Add the code direct to the password, no space or punctuation.
I just worked it out.
It’s the two factor authentication that was the problem. You have to turn it off and go back to answering security questions.
I just did it, had to do the password one more time, but I can get to my movies now! 😊
