iPod USB Power Adapter (A1205) help

I recently received an iPod USB Power Adapter and when I plugged it in, it did not charge. I tested multiple cables and devices and confirmed that is was the power adapter. It was taken care of so I know it was not the previous owners' fault. Thanks. :-)
