CarPlay - Display Turn-By-Turn Directions?

When I use Maps on my iPhone not through CarPlay, I can view a list of turn-by-turn directions. When using CarPlay, however, I cannot -- or just cannot figure out how -- to list these same turn-by-turn directions on my car's screen.

I have Overview "view" which shows the high view route view, but that's just a visual view with no context. And I have the Detail "view" which tell me the next step in the route. But not the full list of directions.

Does Maps in CarPlay support the full list of turn-by-turn directions? Could it be that my car (2016 Honda Civic EX) just doesn't support it?

If not supported at all, will this capability be available in iOS 11?

Without this feature, I find myself having to hold my iPhone to see the list, which defeats the purpose of using CarPlay. I'm glad to see lane information coming in iOS 11, but I really need the display of turn-by-turn directions.
