itunes 12.7 column browser depth

You can still adjust the depth. The cursor doesn't change into a drag icon like normal. However, if you hover over the border and drag, it will move. Unfortunately, when you load iTunes again, the column browser will be compact. It's not saving the location you drag the depth to. 😟

When the browser is at its smallest size the usual sizing cursor doesn't appear, but if you click and drag down from the top of the header bar you should be able to move it, and then the cursor will change.

I just got off the phone with apple support. They were able to recreate the problem on their side so they said the developers had to fix it in the coding. Hopefully on the next release. At least they know about it now.

I told them I noticed this issue within seconds of updating to 12.7. I said beta testers should have spotted it right away. She told me not a lot of people use the column browser. I don't think I believe her 🙂

Don't thank me. I reported this bug to Apple for myself 🙂 It is driving me crazy !

Worse, the size isn't even preserved if you switch from one list to another. 😮

Yes... the column browser location keeps colapsing on me. Everytime I open itunes it is way at the top. This is driving me CRAZY! This isn't just happening in the windows version. It is happening in my mac too. Somebody please report that bug to Apple. Don't they beta test this stuff? Seems like such an obvious bug and I noticed it within 5 seconds.

"Not a lot of people use the column browser". Seriously? a) how could she possibly know that? b) that is The Worst type of customer response. Never belittle the concerns of the customer. She should be counselled.

I have this issue as I mostly work in Song view and it is hugely annoying.

Couldn’t agree more. I have over 7000 songs in my collection and the column browser is a big help managing all that music. Also they need to bring back the reset play count feature in iTunes. Why they removed that is a total and complete mystery.

I hate that I have to use iTunes, but I love Apple Music and the ability to have all my whole personal library in the cloud. It would be amazing if it did what it was supposed to do. First thing I noticed in this great, new update was the tiny column browser. Made me facepalm for the millionth time while using iTunes.

This is so annoying. Good gosh...how can they miss something like this that is so obvious?

Thank you for calling this in. I use the column browser in Songs in iTunes and having to adjust this every time is a pain.

I also noticed this bug immediately. I would hope beta testers are checking all aspects of the software and not just their favorites.

OMG, this is HORRIBLE!!! Apple, please fix ASAP. We cannot wait months for the next release...
