Apple TV 4k IR codes

Any answers out there? I have to believe codes are different now & maybe only bluetooth? I can't get an old Nevo or even new RTI/ProControl remotes/learner to recognize any i.r. coming from the new 4k ATV remote, ***!? Any more help for us out there?

last gen's do not work so I learned a samsung bd dvd remotes codes into the 4k atv for cursor, menu, etc. control like we have always used for i.r. control. bluetooth b.s. grrrrr! my i.r. learners don't respond (RTi, Nevo, etc) to the new remote. i could not find anywhere to "turn on" i.r. transitting in settings, anyone? this has got to be simpler as opposed to it learning whatwever you want it to. what a pain, i just want 4th gen codes to work &/or turn it back on it settings.

Apple won't reply and nobody here will be able to confirm anything about as yet unreleased products. However, that being said, I can't see any reason to change them.

My initial test on both of the Apple TV 4Ks I bought is that NO, the exact same IR programming that works on the previous box does not work on the new box. Are others having the same experience?
