iPhone 8 yellow tint?

Did you have the night setting turned on with the 7 Plus? Also many new phones have a yellow tint at the start that "burns" off within a couple of weeks. My iPhone does look like the 7 plus after 10:00pm, it looks like the one on the left during the day.

But how would anyone here be able to show the 8?

this is a comparison between my BRAND NEW iPhone 8 (left) and my IPhone 6s Plus that ive had since February 2016. YES i adjusted the color temperature, YES i adjusted “true color” feature (on and off), YES i adjusted the screen brightness... ETC. So, NO its not a “settings issue”! Already re-packed it and will return it. The yellow tint is just too much for my liking...

That doesn’t look right at all. Ive just gone from a 6S to thre 8+ and can see a slightly warmer shift, but nothing like the above.

Have you played with the settings in Disaply Accomodations? There are a few things you could try, but I’m guessing you have done this already (and shouldn’t need to anyway).

I received an 8 plus for my wife from my phone provider. A week later I received my 8 plus (30 Sep). I can see the difference from her phone and the one I have, my phone display is yellowish. My son received his yesterday 1 Oct, out of the 3 phones my phone has a yellow display. Heading to the Apple store today to resolve. Or will be returning.

I am having an identical problem and it is a really big problem for me because of my job as a makeup artist! Really not happy with how the phone displays and captures images. Did you just send yours back for a refund? I thought I was imagining this problem!

I am on my 3rd, yes 3rd iPhone 8, and it is going back for a refund as the yellow tint is ridiculous and the screen is muddier at lower brightness on the bottom third. This has been the worst yet. Where are Apple sourcing there LCD panels from??

I would have stayed with the 8+ which was a lot better, but it is too unwieldy for me.

If i get another iPhone its going to be a 7.

I have not sent it back yet because I got it on promotion through T-Mobile. They will charge a restocking fee and I would lose my $300 credit from trading in my old iPhone 6. I feel stuck with it. I may try and have T-Mobile RMA the phone for defects and send me a new one.

What did you end up doing?

I bought mine direct from Apple, the third was sim free from a 3rd party phone reseller.

Sorry not sure if Apple will help you out on that one, you would probably need to take it in to a store to see.

Probably best is RMA to T-Mobile and get them to replace it.

The iPhone 8 has not been released yet. Nobody outside of Apple would have one to make that comparison at this time.
