iMac27 10.6.8 - Epson WF-7510

In our household, we have 2 iMac 27 computers, both running under Snow Leopard (10.6.8), both connected to an Epson WF-7510 All-In-One scanner/printer.

Has anybody been successful at getting their WF-7510 scanner working under iMac 10.6.8 Snow Leopard?

On the Epson site, their epson14600.dmg Drivers and Utilities Combo Package for 10.6 appears to fully install, but the scanner is not visible, not even to the System Preferences. If the system fails to recognize the scanner, none of the 3rd party software utilities also cannot see it. Printer side of the driver package works fine.

Epson's site also has epson16875.dmg which purports to be the scanner driver and Epson scan utility for OS 10.6 for the WF-7510, but that fails to install.

Help request to Epson simply refers me back to these same driver packages, neither works, no help from them.

The adventure continues......

I have 3 printers here - Epson 7510 large format all-in-one, an HP 7612 large format all-in-one, and a Canon MX922 all-in-one. With all 3, I can install recommended software in my Snow Leopard iMac27, printers works fine, but all 3 scanners cannot be seen.

Tried something drastic..... In my iMac, I attempted to upgrade to Sierra on an external cloned hard drive. My iMac would not do the upgrade. Tried my wife's iMac27 and to my surprise, it upgraded to Sierra via El Capitan, on the same external hard drive cloned from my Snow Leopard iMac. In theory, both computers are almost identical, mine has 8 gigs memory and her's has 12 gigs.

Then, took the upgraded Sierra hard drive back to my iMac, and to my surprise, it booted normally to the external Sierra.

This is where it gets interesting. I then tried installing all 3 printers in Sierra using recommended 10.12 drivers, and same thing happened. Printers work fine, scanners cannot be seen. Matters not if connected via LAN or USB or wireless (not together)

By chance, is somebody using an all-in-one printer/scanner under Sierra? If so what brand.model?
