Upgraded to 12.7 today and the taskbar mini-player has gone.
12.7 focuses on music, so please put this back in the application. iTunes mini-player is cumbersome, too big and just gets in the way, the taskbar mini-player is perfect.

Here's my best guess (and an educated one at that) as to why they removed that previous (helpful mini-player) feature and so many more useful previous features from i-tunes... it's because that want to make i-tunes as terrible an app (they are doing a bang-up job of that btw) as possible so everyone uses
and joins for a fee) apple music streaming service instead.
Under Windows 7, hovering your mouse over the minimized iTunes app shows this mini-menu;
This works, but one must wait for it to pop-up. The other toolbar was instantly accessible and out of the way.
Another thing I've just found out is when the installer removed the iTunes toolbar, it also removed my Quick Launch toolbar. This is on Windows 7 x64.

I love having miniplayer in the taskbar. I keep so many things open that it was just easier to click it & go. ***** that the new update took it away.
Don't you realize, Apple wants to make I-Tunes as terrible as possible so you use their paid music service?

Same issue here ! Please apple, put it back ! Otherwise I will have to leave Itunes for another music software.
