Dear all,
This has suddenly become a problem for me. I'm unable to copy a 6gb file (my main work file) to my Sundisk USB in the ExFAT format. Most of the gudies I read on the net suggest changing to ExFat to get over the 4gb file limit with little information on what happens if problems persist.
Any ideas?

Hi,
It sounds like a formatting problem on the external hard drive. Make sure the data is backed up elsewhere, then connect the hard drive, open Disk Utility and erase/format it as ExFAT if that's what you need to use.
Did you choose Master Boot Record for the Scheme?
