Logitech F310 on Mac 2016 (USB-C only)

Hi guys,

I have very intrigue question. I bought F310 gamepad. Then I bought Mac 2016. So I bought reduction cable from USB-C to USB-A because of transferring data to/from external SSD. I found meanwhile my favorite game Rocket League can be played on Mac, so I tried to connect the F310 with the cable. But it seems no power is going to the gamepad (no lights are on, no buttons work). What could be the problem? The power? Communication/Support? Do I need some program for it? I've already installed Logitech Control Center, but it does not see any device. Do you have any experience and/or suggestions? Thank you a bunch.

HEUREKA

I switched to X-input on controller and "Xbox 360 Controller" app recognized the gamepad imediatelly. Steam although acted pretty dodgy (was opening big picture, was clicking on everything possible, I was unable to leave some windows,...) so I had to force quit it. After restart it worked properly in-game only with generic controller ticked in discussed preferences. So it was no issue after all, just right combination of programs and setting. Once again thanks K Shaffer 🙂

IF the USB-C adapter does not allow 'power-through' to the peripheral accessory or gamepad

you may need to look into a different version of USB-C adapter for your Thunderbolt3.1 ports.

Depending on what else you have going on, a need to use other adapters in-line.

Sorry to not be of much help. I've found through basic search online, several references to

suggest a need for these other adapters with newer USB-C and Thunderbolt3.1 Macintosh.

In any event...

Good luck & happy trails! 🙂

Data through USB-C adapters sometimes need the other adapter to work correctly.

Otherwise only partial connection is made, and the product cannot work.
