Want iPhone X but don't want to give up CarPlay. Does Ford Explorer 2017 support wireless? Been using wired but the set up for wireless doesn't seem to work.
iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.3.3
I thought from the presentation that the new phones would not have lightning adapters and there is only one or two CarPlay receivers which use wireless. Our local Apple Store confirmed that the new phones will have lightning adapters AND Qi wireless charging.
Found out that the iPhone X, 8 and 8+ still have the lightning adapter to charge and use CarPlay BUT the Qi charging can also be done so there is no issue with losing CarPlay.

Why would you have to give up CarPlay with the iPhone X? It probably depends on the model head unit you have, check the manual to your Explorer or contact your Ford dealer.
How do I set up wireless CarPlay on a 2017 Ford Explorer Platinum? I want the iPhone X but love CarPlay.
