If you have AppleCare you will be able to get it repaired but if you only have the standard warranty you may get it repaired but it depends on the condition it is in.

If you're asking if a TB would be covered, yes, it covers all hardware.
If you're eligible (see my link) and you buy it online, they can't do an inspection so it wouldn't matter if something was already wrong, they wouldn't know.
