Syncing Air Pod directly to Apple Watch Series 3

Once they have been set up, AirPods can already connect to all models of Apple Watch without the paired iPhone being nearby:

• Use your AirPods - Apple Support
• Listen to music on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Yes, it's really easy to do. On your Apple Watch Series 3, go to Settings > Bluetooth > Apple Airpods

You may have to set up the Airpods on your phone first in order to see them in the list.

Then just tap on Apple Airpods to connect. It will say Connected on the screen.

That's it.

I want to be able to toggle mute on/off during a call on my air pods by using my Apple Watch. Does the new series 3 watch enable this? I can't find a way to control that on my series 2 watch.

I can't imagine that you can't pair the airpods to the series 3. Why i bought it. I'll goof around trying to figure it out but will follow this thread...Thanks.

ok. Go into the general settings of your new series 3 watch. you can connect there. it worked for me.
