iTunes not manually syncing music

I am encountering a recurring issue with the September 2017 update to iTunes 12.7.0.66.

When trying to manually sync music from my computer to iPhone 7 Plus, the sync fails when only partially completed.

For example, if I select an album worth of songs from my Library and drag them over to my connected iPhone, only some of the songs will upload, and then the status bar at the top will display the message "Canceling cync"will be displayed and the sync will quit only partially resolved.

When I then attempt to re-sync, the same thing will occur. However some songs synced previously will inexplicably sync again sometimes failing.

I've restarted iTunes, restarted the computer, restarted my iPhone - doesn't help.

Are others encountering this problem?

Hopefully, fixed quickly with an update - but if anyone has any suggestions, barring re-initialize my iPhone or buying an iPhone X will solve the problem, I'm all ears.

Thanks!

Hey all,

I am not sure if this is helpful at all, but I found that after I try to manually sync albums, movies, and tv shows and after it cancels the sync, if I eject the iPad and then connect it again, it will then sync almost all of the material I wanted to sync. There are still a few songs that will not sync over which is really frustrating, but at least most of the material will transfer over.

This is NOT how this should work and I hope that a fix will be coming shortly, but at least it seems like there is a work around for now. Try it and see if it works:

Plug in your iPad to iTunes.

Manually try to sync whatever you want on your iPad.

After it goes through the cancel cycle, unplug your iPad from iTunes.

Plug it back in and see if it starts to actually sync the data over.

Hope this helps in some way...
