Sorry if i posted this in the wrong place but I have an issue with opening any Java JAR file.
Every time I launch the file it with "Jar Launcher" it comes up with an error message saying The Java JAR file "name of file" could not be launched. Check the Console for possible error messages. I tried launching with Archive Utility but it created a .cpgz file and when i opened .cpgz file it created a 2.jar file and it went in a cycle.

I downloaded it but it still doesn't work.

Did you only download it or did you also install it?
Jars are commonly used by applications behind the scenes. In order for them to compile you need Java installed. Review the links I posted before on downloading Java.
Maybe follow http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/archive/tutorials/931485-how-to-download-fo rge-and-mods-mac it from 2012, but it looks like it still the same as there not support for Mac.
