iPhone 7 Screen Blank While Charging When Off

Hi,

I just got a new iPhone 7 today, and I was wondering if something is wrong? When I charge the iPhone when it's off, the screen is completely black, nothing there at all. I tried unplugging it and replugging it in, turning it off and on, but it remains blank when charging and off. However, it is charging, since I turned it on and saw that my battery percentage had increased. Anyway, any ideas on what's wrong?

Thanks!

iPhone 7

That’s the correct behavior. The screen should be completely blank when iPhone is off, charging or not.

To see the inactive screen when you move it up/towards you, enable Raise to Wake in Settings > Display & Brightness.
