I often want to take a bunch of songs from different artist and listen to them (so pretty much create a playlist), but I don't want it to be a permanent playlist... I want the artist to be deleted out of it as soon as its done playing. Like a now playing, but a small list for what I want to play after that. Real Player had this when I used to use it, and I can't figure out if there's a way to do it for iTunes. Is there any script or any way to make this work for iTunes? Thanks
Try setting up a smart playlist. Put what you want in there, but have it set with the criteria that it only includes songs that "last played" is NOT within last 1 week--or whatever time period would work for the "temporary" time that you want. That way, as soon as a song has played, it will be taken off of the list.
Once you put the songs that you want in the playlist, click the heading of the far left column (the column above the numbers). This will allow you sort and rearrange the songs any way that you want.
