Final Cut Pro X 10.1.4

Hello to everyone on discussion page! So I have a question regarding downloaded plugins which are the customs one.

I've download a few of them and seems like the fcpx 10.1.4 version cannot red them eventhough i've done the steps on how to put custom plugins.

Does any of you guys know why this version of fcpx cannot read them? Or maybe there's actually ways to use the custom plugins in that version?

I hope there'll be a solution for my question. Thank you for your time! 😀

any reason, you don't upgrade FCPX? It's free … ?

plugins are not downwards compatible; for example, with 10_2 >>10_3 FCPX learned 3D-text … so, any plugin relying on that doesn't work under legacy versions …

If your Mac doesn't support actual version of FCPX (e.g. some older cheese grinder MacPros), you're stuck.

You would need to contact the developer. It's likely that the plugins only work with recent or current versions of the software.

It's possible. It depends on the plugins and how they're stored. Did you have the create the folders for the plugins? Did you use .localize?
