Problem with key repeat

My laptop is macbook pro mid 2012, after updating to mac os sierra 10.12.6, I have problem with key repeat and delay. I already set in preferences like pic below, but seems like it doesn't work properly.

I also did reset SMC and NVRAM, did a diagnostic, and entry in safe mode. But it's not working at all. I really desperate about this update, since my keyboard just working fine before in previous version. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Sorry, I mean my delete button is working, but the delay is not working properly. I need to wait about a few seconds so that the delete button do it's function. It doesn't happen before the new update. So the conclusion, your solutions is working but except for delete button.

Sorry what? Your post was about key repeat. What do you mean your Delete key isn't working?

could it be that your issue is more hardware related then software deleted ?

I see. I'm not sure what the problem might be. I have no delay with the Delete key. Are you using any sort of keyboard enhancement program? I suppose if a key is dirty it could cause a contact issue.

I had the same issue with mine. Go to http://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/01/14/how-to-enable-key-repeats-on-your-mac/. I think you'll find it's the same solution dialabrain was offering.
