The camera icon is missing on my phone. How do I retrieve it?

Can you still access the camera on your phone from another way than the icon? Follow the steps in the link below and tap the camera symbol. Let me know what happens.

have you tried to search for camera ?

have you checked in settings->general->restrictions ?

The camera app cannot be deleted so there's a couple of things that could be possible.

1. It's been disabled in Restrictions. Go to Settings | General | Restrictions and see if the camera is being restricted.
2. It's on your phone but you can't find it. The easiest to see if you have it is to swipe up to bring up the control center. At the bottom you should have 4 icons and the far right is the camera. If you only see 3 and the camera is missing then #1 above is most likely. This will only be the case with iOS 10 and below as iOS 11 will allow more customization of the control center.
