Hi. When you first try to AirPlay to an Apple TV 4 running tvOS 10.2+, a passcode is displayed on the TV screen. You must enter that passcode on your computer or iPhone to authorize the device. So, you need to look at the TV to get the passcode.

Otherwise, the AirPlay passcode or password is determined by Settings > AirPlay on the Apple TV.
