Apple watch series 3 storage capacity

Aside from the LTE/no LTE difference between the new watch series 3 models, I noticed the non-LTE has 8GB capacity and LTE has 16 GB.

In previous watch models (series 2, 1), I believe Apple only allowed up to 2 GB of music to be stored on the watch.

Are there similar constraints for series 3 models? Does the LTE version (with 16 GB) allow for more music (and possibly other info such has pics or videos) to be stored on it compared to the non-LTE model? Or will both series 3 models have the same constraints for music storage in the watch? I realise the LTE version allows for heaps of songs to be streamed. I am only interested in finding out about storage constraints imposed in the actual watch for both models to help me decide if getting extra storage (16GB over 8 GB) should be a top consideration.

Responding to my own Q as I just found the following info online:

https://9to5mac.com/2017/09/20/review-apple-watch-series-3/

Take home message:

"A few more Apple Watch Series 3 LTE tidbits: the LTE model has 16GB total storage versus 8GB on the GPS-only model. After watchOS counts the system, my review Apple Watch Series 3 showed a capacity of 13.0 GB compared to my personal Series 2 which shows 5.6 GB with both watches running watchOS 4.

Why the extra space on the LTE model? The thinking here is that as the Apple Watch gains more apps that work away from the iPhone, the extra storage will already be there to support them. Future proofing. You can also sync up to 8GB of local music now compared to just 2GB before."

So it appears that 16GB LTE model does allow for more local song storage.

However, would be good if someone else can confirm this.

I am also having trouble uploading a playlist that is only 2.39GB to the watch series 3 LTE. The watch app on the phone cycles between showing "Updating" and nothing at the top of the "Music" window. I have not seen a progress bar since it was about 50%. The symbol next to the playlist shows "Your Apple Watch is out of space for music". The watch has been on the charger for over 4 hours now.

IMO, There is a bug in WatchOS or WatchApp

It is not happened before, but has been occurred after I reset my watch.

It limit to sync ~250 songs which can be located in the updating que.

Try to sync with the smaller number of songs part by part.
