How do we have CarPlay work with Wireless Charging On Vehicles That Only Support USB CarPlay?

With the new update of the iPhones coming out they will support wireless charging. I have a truck right now that supports CarPlay but only while plugged into the USB. Are auto makers going to create any updates to their computer systems so they will support wireless CarPlay if they currently don't? So that way if we want to have that feature of wireless charging in our vehicles we don't have to get a new vehicle that supports it?

@Ryz: That really doesn't answer the question. If Apple is moving towards a 'wireless world', one would assume that CarPlay would work wirelessly, whether through the Qi charger or via Bluetooth. Which begs the question: in order to use CarPlay with the new series of iPhones, is the lightning cable still required?
