How do I connect a wired gaming mouse to a Macbook Air??

I have been looking for hours and cannot find out how to get my new gaming mouse to work. All of the buttons work on the mouse but it is not responding with movements at all. It is brand new and when I plugged it in my computer it said my keyboard needed to be identified. I did what it said to do and It was identifying the keyboard for about an hour and never worked, so i closed it. I don't know how to get it back up and i just want to start playing. Please help me. Note: I do not have a Windows or a PC computer. My mouse is a Senlleo gaming mouse.
