Why no 'Edit Playlist' in iTunes 12.7

"Edit Playlist" used to be so simple. Easy to do and easy to see and easy to adjust. Since upgrading to 12.7 it is no longer so easy (or even possible). I spent more than two hours with Apple 'Support' and after trying everything known to them, they eventually phoned Cuppertino and found that the 'Edit' facility has been changed to something else so user-unfriendly that I was unable to understand it. This also affects the ability to create a Playlist. If you value the original means of creating Playlists, I urge you to contact www.apple.com/contact/feedback.html and ask them to re-instate the previous 'Edit Playlist'.

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Thanks, that sounds as it used to be, a panel on the right waiting to be edited from the main body of iTunes on the left.

I cannot find a way to open two or more Playlists at the same time.

This simple means of 'Editing' is what is missing. Apple Support was unable to suggest a simple way to 'Edit' without going through some convoluted 'Edit Rules' procedure.

Right-click on a playlist name in the sidebar and Open in New Window.

iTunes 12.7 reintroduces the ability to open a playlist in a new window. This means you can now have two or more playlist windows open and control where content dragged from one is dropped onto the other.

Actually....not quite sorted. I've got the second window up and I can add and remove but I am unable change the order of the music. ie. there is 'Name' 'Time', 'Artist' etc but I cannot find a way to manually change the order of the music.

Ok, it seems to be 'Sort by Playlist Order' which enables dragging stuff around. Fine, thanks. But I do hope they re-instate the previous 'Edit Playlist' because it did all work seamlessly from just one click.

This was bothering me too as I have a marathon this weekend and wanted some organization to a playlist.

I'm on windows but I went to "view" at the top then "sort by" then whatever option you want. I go by genre myself. Anyway, hope this helps and I too wish they'd bring back the easier "edit playlist" where it's easier to find.
