Imovie export problems
When I edit in Imovie, then export to post to Facebook, when the file "converts" it exports the unedited version? How to fix this problem! The unedited version posts to FB, not the edited version.

Hi, sharon,
If you are trying to upload directly from iMovie to Facebook, try instead sharing out your movie to your desktop, and then uploading the shared movie in whatever way Facebook provides for that. A shared movie is a self contained unit, and the edits cannot be reversed.

Rich, I finally did that and it did work. The problem I have with this program is that it's not very clear even how to save a project once you're done editing. Do you know of a better program that is Mac friendly but not as complicated as a Photoshop type program? Thanks for your input!
Hi, Sharon,
In iMovie 10, projects automatically save as you work. You can close your project and when you reopen it will be exactly as you left it. There is no manual "save" function.
I have not ever used any editing program other than iMovie, so I can't recommend anything based on experience. You could check out an app called Filmora, that I have seen referenced occasionally.

Thank you! I guess I should have figured it out, but I keep trying to save and rename and it wasn't happening! I'll check out that app!
You are welcome.
