Hi, I need some help choosing between the iPhone 7 plus 128 gb and the iPhone 8 plus 64gb. I download a lot of music from the apple music app, like entire albums or playlists and that's basically what worries me.
I just take like 5 - 10 photos per week and don't often record videos so that's not a problem. I'm not gonna download 1gb games but I might get a moderate amount of other apps. So which one should I get?
I have an iPhone 6 16gb, so it's obviously not enough, the music it's on my iPad 32gb but it's not that portable and it's 95% full. I don't really know how the iPhone 7 performs and if it is future proof, I want to use it for a couple of years with no problems.
No current mobile technology is future proof. But, buying the most current phone means it will be that much longer before whatever it is is no longer satisfactory.
The iPhone 7 is a great phone. I bought mine (Plus, actually) in June, knowing full well that there would be something else coming out in September. I haven't regretted it for a minute.
But only you can know what's important to you. If it were me, I'd buy the newer phone with the smaller capacity. However, I've never stored much music on my phone. As I'm rarely without a data connection, I find streaming preferable. I take a lot of photos but I move them to my computer regularly. But that's me and my needs.
What phone do you have now? What is its capacity? How full is it? Which is more important to you, having the latest hardware or not having to clean off your phone regularly?
