How to clean a MacBook Pro keyboard with sticky keys from spilt food?

I spilt some ketchup on a few keys in my keyboard. They still work, but they're slow and sticky (I got the ketchup off the top, but some is still down in the keys). Any ideas?

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016, 4 TBT3), macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Please note that that both videos show an older Mac laptop keyboard (2015 or earlier). The older keyboards used "scissor" designs while 2016 and 2017 touchbar MacBooks use a newer lower-profile "butterfly" design. The butterfly design is much harder to fix or clean and is much more fragile. (I'm not sure about the non-touchbar models.)

I have removed keys on my older MacPro laptops many times to clean them, but would be very worried about doing this myself on the new 2017 model I have. My understanding is that it's really easy to break the fine plastic threads under the key on the butterfly models.
